MIM MLA Jaleel blasts Govt in Maha assembly for ignoring reservations to Muslims

MUMBAI: AIMIM MLA Imtiaz Jaleel took the BJP Sena Govt to task for completely ignoring the legitimate demand of the Muslim community for reservations.
Participating in a discussion on reservations to Marathas he said MIM party welcomes the decision to give reservations to Marathas but questioned how could the Govt ignore the educationally, socially and economically backward community of Muslims for which even the HC had approved 5 Pc reservations to Muslims.
He told the chief minister that Muslims have become used to injustices whether it is from this Govt or the previous Govt of Congress and NCP. He said had the congress and ncp given reservations to muslims this day would not have come.
He was strongly opposed by the congress and ncp members who tried to stop MLA jaleel from speaking.
Jaleel however questioned the congress and ncp that that when sachhar commission, Ranganath mishra commission and Mehmood Rehman commission submitted their reports highlighting the plight of the Muslims then why they were deprived of their rights.?
Responding to the demands put up by the MLA, chief minister Devendra Phadnavis assured that very soon he will hold a meet with the Muslim legislators to see how the matter could be taken up further.
